Tattoos: 8-14 days for healing process so you can start swimming or direct sun light however most tattoos take up to a month to fully heal and settle. Piercings usually differ and take anywhere between 6-12 weeks to fully heal depending on each individual.
  • What are the potential risks and complications associated with tattoos and piercings?
In regards to tattoos, you can expect itchy skin, scabbing and on some cases when individuals don’t follow the right aftercare procedures we outline, there can be some minor infections in and around the new tattoo. For piercings we recommend customers follow the aftercare procedures handed to them after the piercing procedure. Some customers can expect bumps, swelling and/or infections. We advise they contact us or see their GP straight away.
  • Can I bring my own design for a tattoo, or do you have artists who can create custom designs?
We advise you come in with ideas and we can then perfect those ideas and bring them to life. We create custom designs on a daily basis and can help each individual bring their ideas to life.
  • How do I take care of my tattoo or piercing after the procedure?
For tattoos and piercings we hand out aftercare sheets and these are also emailed automatically after each procedure. If you are unsure please email us on info@inkdlondon.com, we can always send you the aftercare sheet for your new tattoo or piercing.

We use titanium and gold plated jewellery of the highest quality. Please email us for more information.
  • Do you require a deposit or down payment for tattoo appointments?
Yes, we always take a deposit to book you in, the deposit is eventually taken from the overall total cost, but this is always required for us to book you in.
  • What is your shop's policy on touch-ups or fixing a tattoo if I'm not satisfied with the initial result?
We always ensure the tattoo is complete and customers are happy, however sometimes the healing process and the aftercare procedures that each individual follows results in the tattoo healing in a way that is out of our control, so we are not responsible for the free touch-ups but clients can pay for touch-ups.
  • How long have your artists been practicing and do they have portfolios I can see?
Each artist has been tattooing & practicing for different periods however we assure our clients that any artists we showcase on our platform are very experienced and can tattoo to the highest quality.
  • What precautions do you take to ensure a safe and sterile environment?
Our store is cleaned and sterilised at the end of each day and we always use brand new needles for piercings and tattoos so our clients can rest assured that they are in safe hands.
  • Are there any specific aftercare products you recommend for tattoos or piercings?
We have our own line of tattoo after care creams in different sizes and for piercings we have our aftercare bags that include the sterile solution and aftercare balm with cotton buds and other bits that help ease the aftercare process.
  • Can I get a tattoo or piercing if I have certain medical conditions or take medication?
Before you have your tattoo or piercing, you sign a consent form and you have to answer all medical conditions that determine if you can have the procedure done or not. Please also refer to your GP if you feel you have a medical condition that reverts you from having a tattoo or piercing.
  • Are there any restrictions on the size or placement of a tattoo?
The reason we ask for your design, size and placement is to determine how the design will look on your skin and if we believe that the design should be bigger or smaller we highly advise the client listen to the advise as we understand how the tattoos will heal over time.
  • What should I do if I experience an infection or allergic reaction after getting a tattoo or piercing?
We advise that you contact us to see if we can help and also contact your GP for more information.
  • Do you offer numbing options for those who are sensitive to pain?
We sell numbing cream and spray, however some artists don’t like using these as they change the healing process and can sometimes make the skin harder to tattoo. But yes you are welcome to purchase the cream if your artist advises its fine to use in your session. We advise you apply this one hour before your tattoo session to avoid taking up valuable tattooing time.
  • Can I book a consultation with an artist before committing to a tattoo?
We have our consultants who can take you through the design process and give you a better understanding of what your tattoo will look like on your skin.
  • What is the policy on rescheduling or canceling an appointment?
We cannot cancel or reschedule an appointment unless we have medical proof. If you contact us a week or two weeks before your session and have a valid reason then we could potentially take discretion and make some changes but once a booking has been made then it stands.
  • Do you offer any discounts or promotions for group bookings or multiple services?
For groups of 5+ we can offer some discounts, please email us to enquire.
